These words came out of a recent coaching session and I thought they may be of use to you…
NB Whatever words I use are never accurate enough to properly describe the true self…
The egoic mind can be brash or arrogant. It lies within our own head and can be anxious, worried or a victim. It has dramas, battles and is addicted to pleasure, distractions and pain. It is the emotion which arises from those pleasures, distractions & pains and is triumphant when things are perceived to have gone well and despondent when things do not…
It is the personality that we have identified with and the urgency to get things done. It is denial rather than acceptance. It is the overthinking mind, the overanalysing mind and the impatient mind. It places importance on things and events which mean very little…
It is the morally superior mind with the sense of right and wrong. It creates the sense of future and the past, and focuses on possessions and things, beating itself up when not perceiving enough has been done! It has a strong sense of pride, can be apathetic when in a low state or angry when aroused!
It is addicted to the circumstances of life and becomes defensive when identity is questioned. It can be manipulative to achieve its aims & postpones true joy because there is always something else to do in order to feel good!
It is clever (rather than intelligent) and is the anticipation and expectation of how things should be. The true self is at peace, joyful, loving, attentive, still, grateful, resilient, strong, silent and has enthusiasm. It is intuitive & inspired!
Your true self is willing, accepting is focused with goal setting on impacting people positively rather than earning money or buying things. It is focused now and in the moment when connecting with people.
To the true self circumstances are meaningless because all you ever need is presence right now in this moment and it knows that this moment is all you ever have. When acting from your true self, you become attractive and abundant, perceptive, intelligent and infinitely flexible. The true self knows that all things fade and decay and that consciousness is ever present…
So if you find yourself not feeling how you want to feel notice that, and take a breath or three. In that moment of witnessing and noticing your true self is awakening…
