I wanted to explain a pattern which I see over and over again through the coaching and training work in which I do and that involves failure, aghhh I hear you scream!…
You see so many people “trying to avoid failure” which in itself is an oxymoron after all trying itself implies failure, so go on if you will; try and avoid failure and you may just see that it’s impossible not to fail…
So instead why not embrace a new approach and embrace failure, after all those who are successful are only there because they have failed more often than those that aren’t…
This is so evident in Sport and Business, those at the top are simply those who persevered in the face of failure and learnt what they needed to learn from the experience. So you see if you are not failing then perhaps your not learning as much as you could be, may I even date to be so bold as to say that you may actually be in your comfort zone?!
What’s wrong with that you may say and of course there is nothing wrong with that all, depending on what your goals and ambitions are…
If you have an inkling that you could achieve more and that you would enjoy life and have greater satisfaction and fulfilment as a result then read on; as inevitably getting where you want to get, will inevitably involve facing your fears in some format, from experience I can guarantee that…
For really magnificent changes and improvements in performance and enjoyment in life there are some key steps…
1: Get really really clear on what it is you want (write it down in a way in which you can visualise the outcome)
2: Get even clearer on what the first step is to the achievement of your goal
3: Work out what it is you need to achieve what you want and…
4: Become aware of any patterns of thought (I cant) and emotion (fear for example) which stand in your way from taking those steps forward
5: Get support to assist you with each step (no one ever achieved anything entirely on their own)
Now I know you know that I can assist either you or someone you know with this and equally currently I am currently fully booked until October.
I also know that there will be people that you meet who could do with support to help them move forwards and as a result I just wanted to point you in the direction of a couple of resources that maybe of benefit to them…
Firstly my utube channel with various video’s explaining further about the work I do in various contexts http://www.youtube.com/user/MagentaCS/videos (which will help people feel more at ease with taking the first step)
Secondly my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Magenta-Coaching-Solutions and thirdly the two nlp practitioner courses we have coming up in November and March…
The great things about these courses is that they teach you to use some of the skills so that you can both help others and also learn how to help yourself and create some of the changes you want in your life without the need for ongoing coaching in the short term.
We now have one place remaining for the November course 10th – 16th from the Cambridge City Hotel and 7 places remaining for the march 9th – 15th course next year…
So if you do want to attend or you know someone who would benefit from either training or coaching please get in touch [email protected] to guarantee the place…
Have a great weekend 🙂
